At the end of June and beginning of July, we ventured out to Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas to record our new album. Located along the Rio Grande in far west Texas, Sonic Ranch sets on a 3,300-acre pecan farm. Musicians eat, sleep and record at this very serene location, without interruption from the outside world. With Josh Thompson (Cody Jinks) serving as producer, we set out to make a country record that had elements of the past, yet also put on display the natural progression of where country music should be headed, now and in the future. We created a very cohesive album, that will be released in early January. One of the highlights of the recording sessions was making our first single “Songs I Can't Write” come to life. The Bryan Martin cowrite brings an energetic feel to the ages old story of musicians sacrificing so much to chase their musical dreams.
